Baynards Primary School is a smaller than average sized primary school for children aged 4-11 years in the village of Tiptree. We are situated in attractive, wooded grounds with a large playing field, which includes apparatus for the children to play on, and dedicated space for children in Reception class to use. We also have a woodland area for use in our Forest Schools sessions which are led by Essex Wildlife Trust.
The school has four spacious and well-resourced classrooms and children are taught in mixed year groups from Key Stage 1 onwards. When children start at Baynards Primary School, they join Class 1 with their well-resourced classroom and outdoor area. Each year, we take a maximum of 15 children giving the children the best start possible to their education journey through the school. We have ample spaces in the school to enable quality group work, a Sensory Room for children who need a little additional emotional support, and pride ourselves on being a ‘book rich’ environment for all.
At Baynards Primary School, we have high expectations and are developing a rich, broad and balanced curriculum. In addition to the acquisition of skills, knowledge and understanding, importance is placed on developing the child as an individual, capable of independent learning and self-discipline. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs such as fencing, multi-skills, choir, board games club, colouring club, street dance, football, cricket and roller skating, as well as a paid for Breakfast Club and After School Club offering wraparound care from 07:30 to 18:00. Fun for all!
We pride ourselves on our positive, friendly atmosphere and caring attitude. The whole school works together to create a positive environment and a sense of community. This really is a small school with a big heart!
